The Plena Voice Alarm Router is an expansion unit that can add six zones as well as 12 input and eight output contacts to the Voice Alarm System. It can use the built-in amplifier on the LBB 1990/00 Voice Alarm Controller, and provides inputs and outputs for one or two amplifiers in a multi-amplifier one or two-channel system. Where public safety is a major concern, the Bosch Voice Alarm System (VAS) is the fast and simple way to EVAC compliant emergency evacuation in schools, hotels, shopping centres, supermarkets, factories, offices and many other similar applications.

Designed to meet the stringent requirements of the IEC60849 standard, the VAS includes all essential functionality such as system supervision, spare amplifier switching, loudspeaker line surveillance, a built in message manager and comprehensive front panel controls and indicators.

Either as a stand alone 6 zone system or as an easily extended 60 zone system with up to 8 call station microphones and 32 station keypads with programmable keys that simply take care of message routing, the Plena VAS is a “must see” for all serious contractors and installers.

Optional remote control panels that duplicate the systems user interface are also available, thereby allowing the system to be placed in the basement or in a fire resistant cabinet in another part of the building. A kit for integrating a custom fireman’s panel is also available.

Configurable Functionality
The system is easy to set up for specific applications using DIP-switches forsetting the basic functionality and a PC for more advanced systemconfiguration. The built in message manager is fully supervised and has capacity for up to 255 spoken messages. The messages can also be merged to allow even more flexible use of pre recorded announcements and evacuation messages.
