The P.Audio VIA-12P two-way line array system is part of the VIA passive system of line array systems, which can be combined with subwoofers from the SB Series. The VIA-12P features 120 degrees horizontal and 15 degrees vertical dispersion. This allows the system to be used for shorter-distance applications such as frontof- house line arrays or for side-fills. The VIA-12P is a passive design with an on-board crossover which can be bypassed if the user r equires full control over each bandpass with bi-amping. The transducers in the VIA system are completely new designs from P.Audio’s research and development team. Its two eight inch woofers featur e neodymium motor structures with aluminum shorting rings for reduced distortion. The cone material has been optimized to provide extremely accurate mid-bass reproduction and to remain linear even at high drive levels. The system’s 3-inch compression driver features a pure titanium diaphragm. Lightweight and powerful, the VIA-12P’s compression driver provides extended response above 15,000 Hz. The VIA-12P’s rigging is designed to be as simple as possible to set up. Rear angle indicators show the inter-cabinet splay angles for easy system set up. When large arrays are required, EASE Focus III modeling software can be used to optimize the frequency response and coverage for each venue. The VIA series has a complete range of accessories to allow ease of use. This includes the VIA-FLY, the combined mini fly bar and pole mount, both of which can also function as ground stack bars.
