The P Audio CXP 21 SUb is a very high performance professional sound reinforcement system sub woofer.
The CXP 21 Sub is an active design that features fully bridged class D amplification a
nd a universal power supply.
The design includes a precision analog preamplifier with 4th order crossover filters.
The CXP 21 Sub is designed for general sound reinforcement applications where substantial deep bass and ultra low frequency output are required. .
The CXP 21 Sub is ideal for fixed installation applications such as restaurants, bars, retail outlets and general purpose indoor public address and full range music systems. The design includes four high quality casters mounted on the back of the enclosure.
Two of the casters are fixed and two are pivoting and locking to allow for very easy transportation. The design is also very well suited for live performance and touring applications.
The CXP 21 Sub features a wide bandwidth 21 inch (533mm) low frequency direct radiator.
The 21 inch low frequency radiator produces substantial low frequency output and extended bandwidth. The CXP 21 Sub combines a 2000 watt peak power amplifier with a matched pre amp.
The amplifier is a 2000 watt peak (1000 watt burst) class D design. The precision preamplifier features fully electronically balanced XLR based inputs and parallel "thru" connections.
The amplifier includes peak limiting.
The precision preamplifier also features 4th order (24dB/Oct) band pass filtering for the subwoofer and an 80 Hz crossover. There is also a level control that allows the subwoofer level to be set independently from the high pass filtered output. The high pass output also features an 80Hz corner frequency.
The low frequency section is a 21 inch (533mm) transducer that features a large format voice coil 5 inch (127mm) diameter voice coil.
This design assures ultra high power handling and high reliability.
The vented enclosure design has been optimized for use with this low frequency device and is tuned for deep bass and sub woofer applications in professional environments.
The enclosure is constructed with high quality plywood and finished in a very durable polyurea coating.
The system includes a top hat style stand adaptor for use with the CXP 121C,CXP 151C, CXP 122F or CXP 152F ultra high performance full range enclosures.
